Highway Chaos!

I don't know how many of you take the highway to get places but for me I use it for everything. From going to family's houses, to going to the mall, or driving to school in the city. There is now construction from the exit Thorndale to the City, its a 27 mile stretch. This started April 1, 2010 and who knows when it will end, they may have given an end date but who would believe it, we all know how long it takes the government to get something done, let alone done right.
I don't know how much more I can take with all this construction going on. For something that took me only a half hour to get to now takes me more than an hour. You seriously have to sit and plan the night before when to leave your house if you have to be somewhere because the traffic is a killer and if your like me, a person who has a little to much road rage, you want to leave earlier than you normally would. I don't know exactly what they are trying to do to the highway but hopefully fill some of these potholes. How are you taking these changes because for me its just a really big pain in the butt. And now they are trying to raise the toll just so that they can gain money for these roads, I mean isn't the government taking enough money from us already.

Natural Disaster's

So I don't know if you watch the news or know anything that's going on in the world but there has been earthquakes in Haiti and China. Floods and landslides in Brazil and volcano eruption in Iceland. These are just some of the natural disasters going on. A natural disaster is the effect of a natural hazard that effects the environment. Which can lead to many losses. This can occur when hazards meet vulnerability.
This really scares me, I don't know how everyone else is taking these disasters but it freaks me out. Now it doesn't really effect me personally in any way but to just think all of these disasters have to mean something. This world is going down hill and I believe everything is happening for a reason. All these natural disasters are I think apart of global warming. We take for granted what we have in this world and because no one is taking the environment seriously there are hazards. There is no way to stop these disasters, you never know when one will occur and even if we did, how much can we possibly do to stop it. I think pretty much nothing that's why they are so dangerous.

This Weather!

why is it that every time we have a few days of beautiful weater, we get really terrible weather right after. I just dont understand it's April now, Sring time... is here and yet we still have 10 degree weather... It really makes you think whats going wrong with our environment. I mean between the rain and snow who can be happy at this time... I can easily say I'm not at all happy.. Thia weather makes people miserable and crabby... I dont even want to get out of bed most days... If you reall think about it when the sun is out and shinning people are just so much happier and nicer. Theres more to do and there are tons more places to go and keep busy. When its warm no one wants to stay in and do nothing, there is always something to be doing when its warm, this world is just so much happier. This cold weather is nothing but a joke, and its just really gets annoying because there really isnt much we can do about it. Well we can do something because we should, considering global warming but us as a community have to do it as a whole to help the environment, one person can not change the world by themselves, one person can not make a differnce, this world is going down hill and its like no one cares. People dont understand the effect of global warming and the danger its causeing our world. Most people think its a joke and just dont belive it. HELLOOO people wake up... it exists and it will be more harmful if we dont start taking care of the problems now and taking care of our environment... we hate this cold weather but get use to it becasue our weather system is changing because of all that is happening in our world and no one seems to be caring enough about our environment to do anything about it....

the education world

i sit and wonder what is going on with schools these days... seriously how are kids going to get their education with every other teacher being layed off... so many schools are shutting down its unbelievable... the one thing we do need in this world is education. and its being taking away from us because of government funding and lack of money. where are all these teachers suppose to go now for work with everything closing. With how large schools have become how are kids suppose to get the full affect of their education without enough teachers.. i think this government is getting alittle ridiculous witht aking away the things really really need, to just build and spend money on things that dont really matter... i think the citizens of the u.s. should be able to have a voice on how our tax dollars are being spent.

what's going wrong with the world today...

Hello, my name is Gia Pirozzoli. I am a current student at MacCormac College in the city of Chicago. My major is court reporting.
I am starting a blog on whats going wrong with the world today. I will write a new topic everyday, about the things that run through my mind, when i think about how the economy has changed and how it's effecting us.
I'm a very mellow person usually, I'm not one to get upset or angry easily. But when there are so many issues in the world and we the people can't do anything about it and no one is helping the situations, it makes us people vulnerable. So, I think by bringing these topics and issues forward, people will be able to speak their minds freely. I'm no expert, but I am someone with an opinion, an opinion that's never heard. I'm not trying to prove or accomplish anything, I just want people to be able to express themselves and the way the feel about the world, the world as we all know is going down hill. I want people to be able to express themselves and to know that their opinions can be heard and know that they matter. The government may not care what you think, but I do!
